Through a study of my own body, I focus on the role played by the image in the construction of monstrosity. By means of self-representation,  I use my body as a malleable and fragmented material, seeking to construct monstrosity out of the ordinary, and to blur the boundary between the normal and the abnormal. In reference to scientific or anatomical iconography, I attempt to deconstruct normative representations of the body in order to build new ones. To what extent is a body a body, and how can it relieves itself from the norms that constrain it?
